Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and VDRTech LLC for the use of alexndr.ai. They are short because the service is simple: we publish an index of openly available resources, and we host nothing but our own words.
1. What alexndr.ai is
alexndr.ai is a free, curated, editorial index. We survey openly published material about AI agents, and for each item we publish a short record: a title, the authors as published, a date, topics, the licence as displayed by the source, a short description written by us, and a link to the original.
Three facts define the service, and every clause below depends on them:
- We host nothing but our own words. We do not host, mirror, cache, proxy, screenshot, reproduce or redistribute any third-party content — not the article, not the abstract, not the PDF, not the image, not the video.
- We index only openly available material. Public pages, public repositories, public papers, public posts. We do not access anything behind a login, a paywall, a password or a technical access control, and we do not accept or solicit non-public material.
- We are not a data service for anyone. We do not store or process data for any third party, we offer no data-processing, hosting or storage service, and no organisation instructs us to handle anyone's data. We hold no personal data about anyone except our own newsletter subscribers and ordinary security logs, as described in the Privacy Policy.
2. What alexndr.ai is not
- It is not a publisher, a host, or a distribution platform for third-party work.
- It is not a complete or exhaustive catalogue, and it does not claim to be.
- It is not professional advice — not legal, financial, security, engineering or investment advice — and it must not be relied on as such.
- It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any resource or company it mentions. Names and marks appear only to identify the resource being indexed.
- It is not a rights-management or licensing service. We grant no rights in anything we link to.
3. The source rule, and what we are not responsible for
We index what a publisher has made public. That is the whole test.
- If it is public, we may index it. Indexing a publicly accessible resource is what a directory does.
- We are not the gatekeeper of anyone else's publication decision. If a publisher, a repository, or an AI model makes something public that it later regrets — a repository that was briefly open, a document that was deployed by mistake, a file that leaked and then vanished — that is a decision of the party that published it. We did not make it public. We did not disclose it. We are not responsible for it, and we are not required to police the publication practices of the open web.
- But we are not unreasonable either. If you tell us something was published by mistake, we remove it — promptly, without argument, and without asking you to prove anything. See the Notice and action policy. Removing a mistake costs us nothing; litigating about it costs everyone.
- We do not index closed sources. No proprietary, confidential, internal, NDA-bound, leaked or login-protected material has any place in the library. If such material is ever found in the library, reporting it is enough — we will remove it.
4. Intellectual property
Our text is ours. The descriptions, taxonomy, curation notes, site design and the structure of the index are the property of VDRTech LLC. You may quote a short description with a link and attribution. You may not republish the index wholesale, or use our curation as the input to a competing directory, without written permission.
Their work is theirs. The linked resources belong to their authors and rights holders and remain under their own licences. We claim no rights in them, and we grant you none. Following a link takes you to a third-party site whose terms and privacy policy apply.
Licence notes are advisory only. Where we record a licence, we record what the source displayed at the time of indexing, with the date. We do not verify it, we do not warrant it, and it is not a licence grant from us. Always verify the licence at the canonical source before you rely on it.
Names and marks. Third-party names, project names and logos appear only in a descriptive, nominative sense, to identify the thing being indexed. We use no third-party logo in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or sponsorship, and none should be inferred.
5. Acceptable use
You may browse, search, read, and call the public API. In doing so, you must not:
- scrape or call the API at a rate that degrades the service for others, or attempt to defeat rate limits or the anti-abuse measures;
- misrepresent our descriptions as the work of the original authors, or the index as your own;
- use the service to harass, defraud, stalk, or harm anyone;
- reproduce the index wholesale, or resell it, without permission;
- use the service in breach of any law, or of the terms of the resources you reach through it;
- represent the index, or any part of it, as legal, security, or compliance advice.
We may suspend access — including for automated clients — where use threatens the service or breaks these rules. Because the service is free and has no accounts, suspension is a technical measure, not a sanction against you personally.
6. Notices, takedowns and corrections
We operate a published Notice and action policy. Its core commitments:
- a monitored address, [email protected], for every kind of complaint;
- removal of the link or the description following a substantiated notice — within 48 hours for claimed legality, privacy or mistake issues, and within 7 days for corrections of fact;
- a dated record of every notice and the action taken;
- a repeat-infringer rule: sources that repeatedly give rise to valid notices are excluded from the library;
- a counter-notice route, because removing something does not settle the underlying dispute between you and someone else.
Removal of an entry from the index does not remove anything from the original site, and we cannot act on the original publisher's behalf.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the library is complete, current, accurate, secure, uninterrupted, or free of errors; that a description reflects an author's intent; that a licence note is correct; or that any linked resource still exists or is safe to use. You use the index at your own risk, and you verify anything important against the canonical source.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The service is free of charge. Our total aggregate liability to you, for all claims arising out of or relating to the service, is limited to USD 0.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or reputational harm, even if we were advised of the possibility.
- We are not liable for the acts, omissions, content, licensing or availability of any third party whose resource we indexed or linked to.
- We are not liable for any decision — human or automated, including a decision made by an AI agent reading our metadata — taken in reliance on the index or on a description, a topic label, or a licence note.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude. If a limitation above is held unenforceable, it is severed and the remaining limitations apply.
9. Changes
We may improve, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, because it is a free service. We may update these terms; the date and version at the top will change, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Prior versions are available on request.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the applicable federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Abu Dhabi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the service, and you and we submit to their jurisdiction.
Stated plainly: we know that a clause like this does not prevent a determined party from filing a claim somewhere else, and that consumer-protection rules in the European Union and the United Kingdom may give a consumer the right to bring proceedings in their own country of residence notwithstanding a clause like this one. We include it because it records what was agreed. If a claim is brought elsewhere in disregard of it, we will say so to that court, and we will seek to have it heard here.
11. General
- Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Legal notice and the Notice and action policy are the whole agreement between us for the service.
- Severability. If any provision is unenforceable, it is modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the rest stays in force.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. We may assign these terms to an affiliate or successor, including in a merger or sale of assets. You may not assign them.
- Notices. Formal notices to us go to [email protected].
- Language. These terms are published in English, which is the governing language of the agreement.
